Rera Partners was founded by female-led team team with significant experience across Southern Africa and abroad. Our core team is based full time in Gaborone, and we work with industry partners from across the region to support leading businesses across Botswana. Our local and international experiences allows us provide reliable, honest and trustworthy advise, speaking from both personal and professional experience.

MANAGING DIRECTOR

Michaela is the Managing Director of Rera Partners. She is proud and honored to lead a firm of exceptionally talented individuals who embody integrity and a deep sense of social responsibility. She is passionate not only about the development of Rera Partners and the services it has to offer but about the impact the firm and its people are able to make in the lives of its clients, their businesses and the communities they operate in. 

She found her passion for Corporate Finance when she moved to Botswana in 2010. Michaela is an ardent transaction advisor who specialises in Mergers & Acquisitions, Valuations, Due Diligence and Turnaround advisory services. Michaela is a locally respected transaction advisor, known by her clients to be personable, approachable, passionate and solution driven. 

Michaela is a qualified Chartered Global Management Accountant with over 15 years’ industry experience. She has worked in the UK, South Africa, Botswana, China and Kenya. Having been employed in industry and practice in senior roles she has a wide range of hands-on practical experience and is able to relate to her clients in a unique manner. She has successfully managed the implementation of various projects and her local clientele has included private, listed and government entities. 

Michaela has a passion for training and development. She has delivered corporate finance training for the last three years across Europe, the Middle East and Southern Africa, where she has trained over 200 finance professionals. She has also mentored and trained many young professionals locally.

CONSULTANT

As one of the founding team members, Tumisang has been with Rera Partners since its inception, playing a pivotal role in establishing the firm’s core operations. With a degree in Business Management, he ensures the smooth day-to-day running of the office while providing essential support on client projects. His efficiency and attention to detail have been crucial in creating the operational backbone that keeps Rera Partners thriving.

Tumisang’s ever-present smile and positive attitude, combined with his dedication to going above and beyond, have been central to his contribution from the very beginning. Known for his exceptional problem-solving abilities and willingness to help wherever needed, he remains a vital part of the Rera Partners family, consistently tackling challenges and ensuring the firm’s success.

CONSULTANT

Jessica joined Rera Partners as an intern, quickly demonstrating exceptional commitment and talent, leading to her integral role within the team. A recent graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Jessica is currently completing her final levels of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) qualification.

Jessica’s blend of analytical skill, attention to detail, and proactive problem-solving approach has made her a valuable asset to Rera Partners. Known for her friendly and professional demeanor, she provides critical support to the senior team, ensuring smooth project execution and high-quality client service. Jessica’s enthusiasm for continuous learning and her ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment make her a standout member of the Rera Partners family.

MANAGING CONSULTANT

Alex is a Managing Consultant at Rera Partners and has been associated with the firm since its inception. He first moved to Botswana in 2015, joining KPMG Botswana’s management consulting practice for four years. Alex has since worked as a consultant with an array of startup and large private businesses in roles including Director of Strategy and Head of Finance in businesses in Botswana, sub-Saharan Africa, and Australia. He is energised by the opportunity to work with owner-run businesses as they unlock their untapped potential.

Alex specialises in corporate strategy, financial management and human resources consulting. His previous clients in Botswana have included some of the leading public and private institutions, at government level and in the financial services, mining, energy, retail, food and beverage and higher education sectors. He has experience working in Australia, Botswana, Kenya, Namibia, Rwanda, South Africa, and Zambia.

Alex graduated from a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) and Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) from Bond University in Australia in 2010, and subsequently completed his Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Cape Town in 2018. He is a Chartered Accountant in Australia and New Zealand, and admitted as lawyer in the Supreme Court of New South Wales, Australia.
